Good gravy have I really been away for almost a month? Yikes!! I have thought of posting numerous times but there was always a party or travel or family gatherings. I am so glad it's all over though.

New Year's Eve I always make it special for the kids. I decorate and plan out a 3 course meal and let them stay up til midnight. I even go for Mom of the year by buying them noisemakers and letting them drive me almost insane with it. I also let Isabel invite her friend Morgan over to enjoy the festivities.

For our meal this year we had mozarella sticks, mini quiche, and cheese and crackers for our first course, homemade pizzas for 2nd, and our traditional chocolate fondue with Nutter Butter cookies, cream puffs and bananas for dippers. The kids love doing this.

Here is a short video of the kids at midnight.

So many make resolutions and in the past I have too but I am doing things differently this year. I really want to achieve all the things I have in my mind to do and I can make plans but if I don't stay consistent then they go out the window. My motto this year is "Do It Anyway", as in I don't want to do that but I should. We'll see how that works. I have been getting up earlier during the week which is a vast improvement to getting up after hitting the snooze multiple times. I am also forcing the exercise thing but it's hard and I'm whiny about it so I jumped back into ClubFYM to 1) get more support and encouragment and 2) they have a challenge starting Jan. 10th. I tend to do better during challenges so fingers crossed I'll make this a habit I don't mind doing.

Ok, I'm rambling now so gonna stop. What are your 2011 goals? How are you going to achieve them? Do you have a motto or affirmation?
